Smile A great big group hug!

I want to thank each and every one of you here on this board and all the website managers on the sites. I just came from weeeone's site and I need a hug. A great big Freddie Fan Hug. I have been struggling, as I'm sure many of you have, with Freddie's loss since celebrating his birthday Friday. I have read here how many of you chose to honor that day. I did by pulling out my tapes and having a CATM mini marathon all day. The only problem was, through the laughter, there were many tears shed and anger felt. Anger at the people surrounding Freddie, anger at the Hollywood system for creating these bright stars, only to see them burn out so quickly, yes and even a little anger at Freddie for leaving us so soon. It was a hard day for me as I am sure it was for many of you. Part of me wanted to go to all the sites right away and view the treasures people brought to them to honor the memory of our beloved Freddie. But most of me couldn't do it. Everyone kept telling me on the IM that I had to go and see, yet the fear of the reality of his death kept me from partaking of these treasures. Well, talking to bella66 today on the IM finally convinced me that my period of mourning needed to be over and I needed to go and see for myself all the wonderful things everyone was telling me about. I decided to start with that article weeeone had posted and that was a good beginning. It was like Freddie directed me there first because the article was written before the tragedy of his life took hold of him and stole him from our midst. It was only after reading this truly hopeful article that I was finally able to go to the cemetery and mourn his passing. Then it was easier to go to the other sites and see all the wonderful things people have been posting about Freddie. Mucho gracias to weeeone and tracy and de de for going in our place and being our presence for all his fans. Mucho gracias to each and every one who has taken the time and effort to build such wonderful websites honoring a noble spirit. Mucho gracias to all the friends on this site who post such wonderful thoughts and feelings from the heart. And mucho gracias to those of you here who take the time to have a little fun with Freddie too, in the fantasies and the role plays. Mucho gracias to all the talented people on all of these sites who have shared a story, a poem or a picture with us. Freddie's heart shines through your efforts and talents. And finally, a big mucho gracias amigas to all my support group on the IM. Freddie lives in us each and every time we get together and chat. Here is a great big Freddie group hug at all of you! I love you guys! THANK YOU FREDDIE FOR BRINGING US TOGETHER!

Thumbs up

Luckymama, you expressed your heartfelt feelings beautifully. I am crying at this time, because I understand and relate to all the emotions you are grappling with today. I feel exactly as you do about Freddie, his life, and losing him.

Please know that your friends here are with you and Freddie is with you. Our love is keeping his spirit alive. Although the heartache we feel will never leave us.

Thank you so very much for opening up with us on such deep feelings. You spoke so beautifully, I understand totally.

Thank you for the group hug. I needed it, receive it and return it to each of you.

Luckymama, you brought me to tears...

FREDDIE FOREVER!

Luckymama, That was very deep what you wrote and the good times are still ahead so dont worry. Lets think about the good things. I believe that everything no matter how terrible it is happens for a reason. We may never understand those reasons and it could very well be that its not meant for us to understand.

Luckymama - I give you a hug in return and hugs to all my buddies here.

You can see Freddie bought us all here together.... I want everyone to remember that Freddie also wants us to remember his son as well. By loving Freddie we can all open our hearts for his son too. He would definitly want us to do that!

Big hugs to you & everyone else... I wish I had gotten into Freddie back in the 70's when I watched CATM then. I would've had all sorts of stuff on him then. It would've been fun.. Then again I would've been walking around with great pain for yrs after his death...

I'd watch CATM after it came on TVLAND & was getting into Freddie & just enjoy it & not get sad. I'd think well I want to enjoy the funny stuff & not think about the sad stuff. But eventually the sad stuff got to me so bad. Now I can watch episodes & get sad or cry & stuff.

Last nite I was watching a CATM with my hubby I was noticing how he didn't eat much & was so thin. I told my hubby the poor dear doesn't eat much, I would love to take him home & try to feed him & help him. I said what a dear sweet Puerto-Rican boy. I said it almost as if he were still alive. My hubby's looking at me funny like he's thinking he's dead now. I realized that he's gone & I can't help him even tho I'd like to & got all upset...

A big hug for you Marie ! I was in tears as I read your message. His death has effect all of us. I too remember when Freddie died. As his birthday approached I thought Of his life , the love and laughter he gave to everyone. I just know he is here in spirit smiling at you, at us for the love we share of his memory among us.

Hello Luckymama,
I pray that you are feeling better now, here is a great big hug for you and there's more where that came from.

Hello Cheryl,
You would have been so loving and caring for Freddie, and that was the one thing he so badly needed.

Lot of hugs

Thanks! Last nite my hubby & I were watching a few CATM epsiodes. We had the overhead fan on in the den. For a minute as I was feeling the breeze from the fan, I felt something in it as if Freddie were looking down on me/us & happy to know that he was cared about. It got me all shook up & I went all to pieces & had to get a hanky. I had to explain to my hubby why I was so upset cuz he was wondering what was up with me. The show used to not get to me & thought I'd never get upset watching it. But knowing what I know now...
