Default "Uncle Ned" Episode On Now

If you guys are in the L.A. area, the Uncle Ned episode is on right now on KDOC channel 56.

I regret not taping it from the beginning.

Tom Hanks is doing some pretty fine acting!

WOW!

I just finished watching the episode, and I am impressed!

I felt so bad for Alex when Ned was burning the clippings of himself that Alex looked to for inspiration.

The part when Ned hit Alex was overeggarated though. Alex jumped like 5 yards when Ned slapped him!

...and wasn't it weird how in the interview Uncle Ned was able to control himself, but after the father told him to be himself... he started to act all drunk!

That episode chokes me up every time I see it, along with any other alcoholism episode. It's a subject that really hits close to home for me. Having a loved one who's an alcoholic is extremely painful.

This isn't the Uncle Ned episode your referring too, but there's a funny blooper to watch for in the other uncle Ned episode, and since it's airing in a couple days I thought i'd tell you all about it. Iv'e mentioned it once before but thought i'd mention it again so you all could catch it. Anyway at the beginning of the show when Alex, Elyse, and Jennifer are in the kitchen Alex tells Jennifer to practice her flute outside, and Jennifer replies it's dark outside. After Jennifer says that they show the door and you can see that it is indeed dark outside. The funny thing is if you look outside before that scene you can plainly see that it's daylight outside, but 10 seconds later it's dark. Just watch the door during that whole scene and you'll see what i'm talking about. Unless N@N decides to edit that scene out of course.

Ignore my last post. It turns out the blooper I was referring to does appear in the episode you mentioned where Ned has a drinking problem. Not the episode where he's a fugitive. Sorry. Anyway the drinking episode will be airing in about a month, so watch for the blooper then.

Oh lord, silly me. I totally forgot that there was more than one Uncle Ned episode It's been oh so long since I've seen Family Ties on a regular basis.
