Default Slapstick!?

Is it just me or are Sitcoms these days lacking slapstick comedy? I never really see anyone running in things and tripping over stuff or anything physical like that, just talk, talk, and talk...not that thats bad or anything, I'm just saying. what do you think?

Slapstick got replaced with sex jokes. What a trade off.

I was never a big fan of slapstick, but it sure beats the heck out of sex jokes and potty humor

The last real slapstick comedy I've seen was on "NewsRadio". Although all the characters had their moments, Andy Dick's Matthew did a lot of slapstick, mainly in the 1996-97 season.

"What I Like About You" uses alot of slapstick.

Slapstick is ok but it's not that great.Sometimes it can just be corny.

It really isn't used that often anymore, I guess it just lost it's humor, in other words people don't find it funny anymore, and is rarely seen anymore, they have been used for other purposes and found other ways to show humor, or maybe isn't used often enough, I think if another sitcom would use slapstick, I think it might just bring back more laughs.

I like slapstick and some sex jokes. Whatever makes me laugh! I liked how Three's Company worked in the innuendos.

Innuendos and double entendres are okay, but too many people come right out and say it nowadays. Gag.

Slapstick can be funny in small doses but if a sitcom relies on it for all its jokes, then I don't like it.

Slapstick is ok I guess..in some cases (NewsRadio)..but at other times it just seems stale and corny.
