What I don't understand is why they have to keep Drew Carey around anymore. Yes, it is in syndication, and they must air it for 2 or 3 more years...but if it wasn't doing well, than why did they choose syndication anyways? Drew Carey is just killing WLITA.

What are you talking about? Syndication has nothing to do why the show is still going on ABC. A show enters local syndication after it reaches the magic 100 episodes. The reason why Drew is still on is that ABC has a contract to air it. It entered syndication after it's fifth season, which was a few years ago and the show was doing well until last season.

The bit about Drew Carey killing Whose Line is a bit ironic. Whose Line got it's best ratings airing after Drew Carey when the show started on ABC. But it is true now.

During it's ABC run, Whose Line has been a real survivor. It's gone up against Friends and Survivor. Really killer competition that knocked out shows that actually had budgets, writers, etc.
