Does anyone know Charles's last name on Charles in Charge? Does he even have a last name? That has been driving me crazy!

I bought tapes of the show off of Ebay, and just last night I watched the last episode of "Charles in Charge". In the last scene, they made a joke of how he doesn't have a last name.

I love when tv shows make jokes about themselves that go along with their story lines, like when Charles joked about how he didn't have a last name. Boy Meets World did that all the time. I think it's great.
