I always suspected he said "Hi, Skipper..." but I could never tell what the last part was. Was that from an episode or soemthing? (I don't want the B/W eps. much. I like color.)

yeah! i was watching my tapes today to get some "research" done for my site (i was home sick), and i saw it. in the christmas ep where they're doing the flashbacks.....right when gilligan manages to hook the radio and the skipper chases it into the water....gilligan says "hi skipper! going in for a dip?" and that's what they used for the opening thingy.

Yeah Rockapella, it's from I believe the second pilot of GI. Much of the first two Gilligan pilots eps were incorporated into the Christmas ep.
Julie you answered your own question before I could! |

That's news to me. I always assumed that it was a shot of Gilligan at the harbor back in Hawaii, before they went to sea.

I can see why Rich you'd think that. THe shot of Alan Hale in the opening B+W credits is I think of Skipper back at the mainland.
