Question Don't mean to be gross

Ok gang don`t mean to be morbid or gross, but I was wondering, since we all thought Freddies casket wasclosed,do you think the parents got to view him, and did they put the bible in with Freddie or the funeral director? Also if he did have a closed casket is that because his face was messed up pretty bad too? I don`t know much about guns and Iwas wondering about the extent of Freddies damage.

I dont know. I think in situations like that you dont even get to see them one last time. The last time was probaly before they left the hospital.

I can't even let myself think of Freddie's handsome face and beautiful hair being messed up from a gun or anything else. His mother did say that in the hospital his eyes moved around the room so evidently people were allowed to see him. I know when you are brain damaged your eyes do move but they do not fixate on anything. They have a blank look on them and they really don't see.
I'm sure his head was bandaged thoroughly or perhaps they even put a wig on him. All we can do is wonder I guess.

I may be shallow, but it was hard for me to read in his mom's book was that they had to shave all his hair off for surgery! So his head was all bandaged up. I have wondered about this too, whether they could possibly have had the casket open. Maybe for his family but not the rest of the people who came to the funeral?

They said that the bullet passed completely through his brain behind his eyes so maybe the damage to his face wasn't so bad.

This is indeed gross but, here goes. I have gone to a wake where someone was shot in the temple. They had an open casket. The funeral personnel just put a type of silly putty on the hole and blended it in with the color of the persons flesh. Ewwwwwwww!

I was just wondering the same thing myself. I can't remember if his mother mentioned it in her book, and I haven't been able to even touch that thing since the first time I read it--makes me tooooo sad!

Anna - Sorry about your Brother in law..... I really don't think they had any open casket for Freddie. I think only his Mother, Father, & the really, really closest people said Goodbye!

An autopsy was performed. They mentioned they found Quaaludes in his stomach. However, the official cause of death was "gun shot wound".

By law, whenever a death occurs under questionable, unusual, or unknown circumstances, they must perform an autopsy. Even under natural causes, the family can request one to determine what actually caused the death of their loved one.

Question

I think there are sites on which are posted autopsy reports of celebrities? Does anyone know if there is one where Freddie's is posted or transcribed?
