Quick Question - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've been watching Raymond for a few years now but missed the first season. I was watching a very early episode today in a rerun and I noticed everyone was referring to the twins as Geoffory and Matthew and I swear it is Geoffory and Michael. Can someone tell me if I heard wrong or if they changed the one twins name. It is driving me crazy. Thanks.

No, you're right. I think it was actually Gregory and Matthew (the names of Ray's real life twins). A friend I know went to a taping and someone asked one of the writers that question. He said that there really wasn't a reason for changing their names.

Also, a while back someone asked if the twins used in the pilot of the show were the same ones used throughout the rest of the show, and I said that they were. I recently learned that I was wrong, and I apologize. The twins used in the pilot were actually triplets and one of them was a girl. I guess they got rid of them because they were going to grow up and that meant that the girl could no longer be used.

I saw the pilot episode last night myself and also noticed that Ray and Debra'shouse was slightly different. While Frank and Maria's house was completely different.
