Default Chargers beat Broncos in OT

Don't you just love those San Diego Chargers? Today's game between the Chargers and Broncos was the tightest. I thought the Chargers were going to lose because Steve Christie blew several field goals. He kicked the winning one and he has tied the NFL record 9 career overtime field goals. Chargers won 30-27. LT rushed for 220 yards.

i wonder can the chargers still make the playoffs if they don't win their division. I don't pay much attention to the AFC playoff picture since i live in the NFC part of the country.

If the Chargers beat the Raiders Sunday (which should be easy, since Oakland lost to San Diego earlier this season), they will have nine victories and a better chance at the playoffs. If they lose, they have to win at least two of their last three games this season. It is going to be pretty tough because the Raiders come here to San Diego Sunday. Every year, hundreds and hundreds of Raiders fans have traveled over to watch them play here. When they come here, it gets ugly most of the time. Dozens of fans have been arrested over the past few years and there was an incident where a Raiders fan stabbed a Chargers fan a couple of years ago. Last year they had a new policy in which beer may not be sold after halftime. They also did pat-down checks on every fan entering the stadium. This year, Qualcomm Stadium is making it very tough for Raiders fans to come. If any fan buys a ticket for the game this Sunday, they have to buy at least one ticket to two other games, too. It is going to be really wild because both teams are playing for first place in the division.

BTW, in that Chargers victory over Oakland, the Raiders fans pelted the Chargers with debris and stuff. Did anybody watch that game?

There is no way the Chargers will beat the Raiders this Sunday. That's because the Raiders have Rice, Gannon and Charlie GardnerThe End

They had those guys in that game. The problems the Raiders had in that game were its defense and the penalties the team drew. (Penalties are one of the biggest things that have been plaguing the Raiders all season.) The Charger's victory was not easy, I can tell you that, but they did it. Besides, Schottenheimer has a good career record aganst Oakland in his career so he knows what he's doing.
