Default Original animated ILL opening credits, and vote here!!

Hello, ILL fans. As you probably know, the silk heart-shaped opening/ending credits that we all love today were NOT the original credits for "I Love Lucy". In fact, the original credits showed an animated Desi and Lucy going down an elevator and then to a drive-in movie theatre (if I remember correctly). Does anyone know of a site where I can downlaod these original credits? And, was it different music or was it the familiar "Da-da-dahhh--da-da-dahhh-dahh-da" ("I love Lucy and she loves me...") that we know and love today? Any help would be appreciated.

Another question: a recent post mentioned the "colorized" Christmas episode. Was this broadcast in color back in the '50s, or was it colorized when it was re-broadcast in the '90s. I remember CBS made a big hype out of "discovering" this long-lost episode, then airing it shortly before Christmas in the 1990s, but they broadcast it in B&W (so I don't understand what this colorized thing is all about).

Also: vote here!! Which epsiode do you think is funnier: "Lucy Does a TV Commercial" (Vitameatavegamin), OR....... "Job-Switching" (chocolate candy conveyor belt)???

I like both Lucy Does a Commercial and Job Switching but I think Lucy Does a Commercial is just a tad funnier.

p.s.
I probably go against the grain, but I like the heart shape opening more than the original animated opening.

The heart shape is so much better, it's hard to imagine a different opening, we've been raised by this one for so many years, we've grown to LOVE it. The answer to the colorized Christmas episode is that it was colorized in the 90's to show as a special, and it looks great, i have both versions, and prefer the colorized one, it's so nice to finally see them all in color, and the fact that it's the Christmas ep makes it appropriate!

I think Job Switching is funnier than Lucy Does a TV Commercial and I also like the heart shaped logo for the theme song rather than the original credits.

I've never seen the Christmas special at all, aren't they showing it on TVLand sometime soon? Will they be showing the B&W one or the color one? I'm guessing the B&W one....

Apples and oranges really, how can you compare them? One is a classic drinking while getting drunk routine, the other is the conveyor belt run amok, both were done by other performers, but she gave it just the right touch!
