Default What about...

How many bedrooms *does* the Petrie house have, anyway? And, if Richie always heads toward the back of the house to his room, then how could the detective watching the neighbor see across the street from a room in the *back* of the house?! And does the Petrie house have two bathrooms, or one? The only bathroom we've ever been privvy to is the one off of Rob and Laura's room. I would hate to think that, when they had parties, the guests had to trapse in and out of Rob and Laura's bedroom. And what happened to the basement? Ever since the ep with the big old rock coming out of the wall, we hear or see nothing about the basement. And I have one more question...how come we see Buddy's wife, but never Alan's or Mel's? And we have seen everyones house but Mel's. Strange....

First of all, I'm almost positive that the Petries only had two bedrooms. When Buddy stayed over that time, he had to sleep in Rob's den. I think they converted that into a guest room as necessary. I also think they must've had two bathrooms. The other one was most likely near Richie's room. They definitely had a basement, because that's where Laura kept her sonnets from Joe Coogan, and that's where Rob's pool table was. That huge rock seems to have disappeared though. LOL

Hi Pickles ~

Well, I was thinking they had a guest room, but I guess it was the den, as Kristen says. When Rob's brother visited, he stayed there as well.

And I think I'm correct in remembering this: the episode where the rock was in the basement was the house next door that Millie and Jerry bought, isn't that right? They decided they would take that house and the Petries would buy the other one.

Peace ~

I remember watching the episode with the rock for the first time last year. During the whole episode, I kept thinking that the Helper's must end up with that house because the Petries don't have a rock in their basement in the other episodes. But the Petrie's are the ones that ended up with the rock. In other episodes (at least the one where Rob and Buddy's brother play pool), there is no rock in the basement. I remember that being one of the show's inconsistencies.

But, if you'll remember, the reason for the show *showing* the rock was for Rob to explain to his accountant at tax time why he pays Jerry Helper $35 every year and Robs explains it as half of the $70 to sump-pump the water that collects in Jerry's basement because of Rob's rock...its just weird that a huge rock like that just disappears LOL

Jeez...the weird things I remember...
