Of course, this is what made the show so realistic. There is no other show that comes this close to recreating life as it really is.

Yeah that was part of the shows comic releif. I consider this a great comedy but it is officially called a dramedy. Wayne was a great character. He really was the essence of an older brother. But he showed that he had a heart too, during that hamster episode for instance...

Wayne was kinda cruel to Kevin and he shouldn't have done all of those mean things!

For anyone who has had an older brother ---
Wayne's torture of Kevin was right on the mark.

I totally agree!

The only thing I didn't like was the incident with the hamster in which he threatened to throw it down the garbage disposal. Other than that, he always added a comedic element to the show. Without Wayne, the show would not have been funny. He had a lot in common with Eddie Haskell on Leave It To Beaver if you ask me, except Wayne was Kevin's older brother and Eddie was a friend of the Cleavers.

Wayne could be a real punk, but then he was the older brother. I thought it was funny sometimes.

Sometimes it was funny but most of the time I hated Wayne. He was so immature. It's not as if Kevin was an annoying little brat who deserved to be picked on. He mostly tried to stay out of his brothers way but Wayne didn't have anything better to do but beat up his brother.

When the show was on i was just a little kid and seeing Wayne do all those mean things to Kevin made me afraid of Wayne and glad i didn't have any older siblings. But now when i see the show I am not afraid of Wayne anymore but i still think he was cruel to Kevin at times. But he made up for it that time that Kevin had a party and Wayne took the blame.

No, but, it was realistic....its ok though, you know that in later years Kevin would have to take care of Wayne who probably was living on welfare in a dumpster somewhere

Really? I thought he took over operations of his father's furniture business after he died! I'm sure his position paid him good enough money to keep him off of welfare.

True, but dont forget, we're talking about Wayne here....not long afterwards, he was teasing one of his workers with a lit match and saying " You think that couch will burn , Butthead, do ya, Butthead??"; and after the 4 alarm fire , found out he forgot to keep up the insurance payments!
