Post Kathy's birthday?

Last night I watched e true story on Freddie,(thank you Marie) and I had such mixed feelings about Kathy-her attitude, the way she kept saying "my son"instead of our.
I was thinking this Am about Kathy and I know according to Maria's book,Freddie called her for the last time on her birthday.
Was it still considered her birthday when he pulled the trigger?
I know this is probably weird on my part but given the added pressures he must have been feeling, fear of failurecareer wise, marraige wise, not seeing his son,and the 24 hour maid thing. I wonder if that was Freddie;s drugged mind thinking "this'll be a birthday you won't forget?
Please forgive me if this question affends anyone, I just kept thinking about Freddie's practical joke on Carol, all the drugs he'd taken and Kathy's seemingly cold attitude during the E interview That thought just kept after me-till I typed it here.
So again, I apologize

Red face

Part of me wants to believe that he did not really intend to kill himself; that the russian roullette was another stunt to get attention; a desperate cry for help. If that were really the case, it would be coincidental that it happened on Kathy's birthday. But in his drugged mind, who knows what his intentions were? I don't think he even knew at the time. Kathy's birthdays have got to be hard on her; if she really cared for him.

Wow, he did it on her birthday? I didn't know that. I wonder if he picked that date on purpose to get back at her for divorcing him...

I've never seen the E! Hollywood Story, but that's amazing that Kathy was seemingly cold. Did she show any emotion when talking about Freddie? I know some people don't outwardly show that sort of thing, but......! Enough said!

No, Kathy didn't seem to show much emotion at all, but I thought it was because it happened so long ago and she was over her grief about it. But the more I watch it the more I'm not sure where she is coming from. I'm usually a person who like's to give people the benefit of the doubt and not judge them, but her interview on the E! special does make you wonder about their relationship!

You're right! I noticed she showed no emotion. Also how could she have divorced someone so goodlooking? Never could figure that one out...

Sad

Yeah I wondered about that, given the fact that she did say he was the typical Latin lover. For his looks and his romantic, sexy nature I could have put up with almost anything--and would have insisted he get help for his addictions out of fear of losing those things alone, not to mention the possibility of a child not having his father!

Cheryl,
According to Maria's book, Freddie called Kathy that night, they talked a while(and she adds, this was conversation was taking place on Kathy's birthday) but because of all the other calls he made I don't know for sure if it was still prior to midnight when he shot himself it may have been the day after, but still what a memory to carry
