Who is it? And why?

Oh, gosh- pretty much everybody!! So I'll name why:

Samantha: Not at all the stereotypical dumb blonde (Yay! Finally! A blonde TV role model for me who's actually SMART!! ). Has a great sense of humor; is a wonderful wife, mom, and friend to those she knows; a fantastic problem-solver so it's win-win for everybody; yet, she's imperfect, making her seem more "human."

Darrin: (Dick York's portrayal- more three-dimensional than Dick Sargent's. But Sargent did the best he could in some tough shoes to fill. ) He could get as hilariously angry at being turned into who-knows-what, but always stayed with Sam because he really did love her. When Sam was crying after he gave her a watch inscribed with "I Love You Every Second" on it, he gets choked up himself as he tries to wipe away Sam's tears. Whenever he blew up at Sam, he always came back apologizing sincerely. As the Bewitched Critic put it, "Dick York is always at his best when he's apologizing, calling himself every numb nut name in the book and feeling so bad for being such a jerk -- who couldn't forgive him?"

Endora: Sure, she always tried to break up the Stephens' marriage, but only because she really just wanted (what she thought was) the best for her daughter. Still, whenever Darrin was being a jerk, she was never afraid to tell him just that.

More to come.....

This show is full of great characters--played by first class actors.

Dick York's performance of Darrin Stephens is one of the best male television performances of the '60's. He and Samantha had passion and a sincerity which many television couples never had.
When Dick Sargent took over the love story angle really went by the way side--though he had a way with a one-liner.

Who couldn't love Elizabeth Montgomery? She was beautiful, sly, sexy, and smart.

Agnes Moorehead as Endora is the mediums ultimate interfering mother in law. Moorehead brought a lot of class to the part.

David White was the ultimate sly fox conniving business man as Larry Tate. Alice Pearce as Gladys was hilarious. Marion Lorne as Aunt Clara was both endearing and funny. Paul Lynde, George Tobias, Sandra Gould...wonderful.

I don't have a favorite character at this point. I haven't been watching the show regulary. I don't like to watch how Hallmark air their shows. It so degrading and annoying. When it comes to TV Land, I will definitely be watching the show and it will feel good to re-live some of those episodes which Nick at Nite aired awhile ago.

I hope that TV Land will do a better editing of the episodes than Hallmark did. That way I might be able to watch without as often saying, "Hey! Something's missing!)

My favorite will always be Sam. I LOVE HER!! I just always thought she was funny, very down to earth ( LOL).. and she put darrin in place when he needed to be. My second favorite was Endora. I just loved her sneakyness!! I guess it reminded me in a sense of Lucy Ricardo only with magic .

Do you get the station Deja-view? They do a pretty good job.

I like Sam the best, whats not to like? Either her, or her cat!

No, I don't get Deja View.
Speaking of Sam's cat- I thought she only had the cat for something like 2 episodes before Endora adopted it and named it Ophelia....

I loved Aunt Clara, she was so different from the rest of Sam's family. (for one thing, she really liked Darrin and for another, she always meant well).

Samantha, without a doubt! I love her facial expressions and it's great when she uses her witchcraft, especially wheter Darrin likes it or not. "Oh My Stars!" is my favorite thing she says. And somehow she always seems to be the one to figure out how to get out of a terrible mess usually created by her mother, or she'll come up with a brilliant solution to save one of Darrin's advertising accounts.

Almost all th echaracters were brilliant.
Elizabeth Montgomery...wonderful as Samantha, a perfect piece of casting
Dick York...hilarious as Darren, just wish he could have finished the series
Marion Lorne..... delightful and lovable as Aunt Clara, she was irreplaceable

David White.... really superb as Larry , you always knew there was extra dimension to Larry than just being money hungry. David White was a wonderful actor who handled a difficult role and made you like Larry.

The Kravitzes...all of them totally brilliant

And someone who gets very little attention ..Nancy Kovack who played the bitchy Sheila in not enough episodes. I always feel she almost stole the pilot episode with her goings on at the dinner party. A wonderful actress underused in the run of the series.

Simple- a Happy Days fan can also like Bewitched. And avatars and pictures show it.
