Why did Fox ever cancel this show? It was great!

I think FOX wanted to be taken more seriously as a network so they started cancelling some of their animated projects. Since the Simpsons have become a staple and King of the Hill does relatively well, they got rid of Futurama and the Family Guy.

If FOX wanted to be taken seriously, they wouldn't have put American Idol on during the season. Or Joe Millionaire. Really, there is no good reason why cancelled Futurama. FOX put it in a time-slot where it would always be pre-empted for sports and then never promoted it. Cartoon Network and Turner's other channels do a better job promoting Futurama than FOX has in years. FOX might only learn how popular Futurama could have been when they see how well the DVD sets are selling in a couple of years.

Ugh...any network that chooses reality over toons or actual acting can't be taken seriously. Wait...that's all of them.
