CATM/TVLAND On New Satellite Dish Channel - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I couldn't get CATM at 5 am so I went seraching all over my satellite toss see if I could find the West Coast feed of it as I am desperate.

I came across TVLAND on the G5 satellite. Sad thing is it appeared to be scrambled & You'd have to have a descrambler to get it. We don't have a descrambler for the satellite dish to get paid channels cuz we can't seem to find one for it.

On this scrambled version of TVLAND if I turned the finds tuning knob one way I got the sound perfectly. If I turned it a certain way, I could get the sound & picture. It was very fuzzy & fouwld fade in & out & was black & white with rainbow colors going thru it. I was able to figure out that the episode theyw ere showing was the one where Eds shoulkder ie hruting him & he won't go to the dr & uses that salve. I saw Freddie for a minue & said... Freddie Prinze!

So if you have an old C-Band Satellite dish (The big dishes) try G5 for TVLAND/CATM!

Cheryl, I feel so bad that you cannot get a clear picture of "Our Prinze". Let me know if I can do anything to help you. You are a true and devoted fan of Freddie's. It bothers me that you cannot get a clear reception to see his show.

Thanks for the support! Some others on here are having the same problem as me on getting TVLAND due to the trees leaves blocking the signal from the satellite cuz the satellite is low on the horizon. Sad...

But At Least I have tapes on most of the Freddie episodes!

So I watch the tapes of each days episode so I don't miss. Hard to belive that a few moths agao I wasn't yet a fan & here I am since probably March digging the Prinze!

Today I got to see a litte of CATM on the G5 satellite butit was all scrambled looking.

IN order ot see ti I had to adjust the fine tuning all the time to get a picture. When I could get it to show a picture instead of that scrambled mess, it was really fuzzy & faded in & out. I saw Freddie for a minute, then watched as he turned into a squiggly line. Sigh...

Sad thing is here int he country they don't have cable on our part of the orad. Only in the 2 nearby subdivisions on our road. & if we did have cable they don't have TVLAND which is bad. We can't find a descrambler for the satellite dish (It's an old C-Band dish-- big dish). Only ne place around ehre has one & they are more than we can afford... Can't afford a small dish either. ON DIREC-TV's cheapest plan they don't have TVLAND. On DISH NETWORKS cheapest plan they do have TVLAND but we can't afford it right now. I miss all the good TVLAND shows. Network tv is boring... Sigh...
