I'm from the UK so I dont think we get yams over here but you always here them mentioned on American TV shows so I just wondered what they are?

It's almost exactly like a sweet potato....Hope that helps. i love them, especially candied yams, those are my favorite.

ive never had yams, but if they are like sweet potatoes then i probably wouldnt like them.

Honestly I havent ever tried one.. I have put it in games and stuff here and other sites but I havent ever had one!!
