ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas Brings Out the Classics - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

For the fifth consecutive year, ABC Family celebrates the spirit of the season with its annual 25 Days of Christmas programming event, this year featuring over 220 hours of holiday-themed entertainment from Sunday, December 1 through Wednesday, December 25.

The festive holiday celebration will be highlighted by the premiere of the original animated special The Christmas Orange on Monday, December 9 (8:30 - 9:00 pm ET).

The animated highlights of 25 Days of Christmas include:

Rankin & Bass Marathon Sunday, December 1 (4:00 pm - 12:00 am ET): A marathon of back-to-back classics from animators Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass. The eight-hour line-up features: The Little Drummer Boy, The Little Drummer Boy: Book II, Pinocchio's Christmas, Frosty's Winter Wonderland, 'Twas The Night Before Christmas, Rudolph's Shiny New Year, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town, The Year Without A Santa Claus, Jack Frost and The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus. It will air again on Christmas Eve starting at 11:00am.

Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July Monday, December 2 (7:00 - 9:00 pm ET): Rudolph's red nose is about to become a burned-out bulb and Frosty The Snowman will be reduced to a slightly chilly puddle unless Santa Claus can save them from a fiendish wizard. Features the voices of Red Button, Ethel Merman and Mickey Rooney. Encore presentation on Thursday, December 19, at 6:00pm.

Rudolph's Shiny New Year Tuesday, December 3 (8:00 - 9:00 pm ET): Fresh from a foggy sleigh ride, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer can rest at last...or can he? The Baby New Year is missing and with all the haze and flurry from the great snowstorm, Rudolph is the only one who can see clearly enough to find him. Featuring the voice of Red Skelton.

Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town Wednesday, December 11 (9:00 - 10:00 pm ET): Fred Astaire narrates the tale of Kris Kringle (Mickey Rooney), a young boy with an immense desire to do good things for others. In his home village of Sombertown, Kris has started a gift factory where he builds toys and gives them to all the local children. But when the evil ruler, Burgermeister Meisterburger (Paul Frees), bans toys from the land, Kris is forced to go directly to Mother Nature and ask her for assistance.

Frosty's Winter Wonderland Saturday, December 14 (8:30 - 9:00 pm ET): Frosty, the loveable snowman, has come out to play. No snowman is complete without a snowwoman, so the children fashion him a bride. Just as Frosty is on the verge of happiness, the nefarious villain, Jack Frost, becomes jealous of Frosty's good fortune and threatens to steal the magical hat that gives Frosty and his newly found bride life. Features the voice of Andy Griffith.

Jack Frost Wednesday, December 18 (7:00 - 8:00 pm ET): Jack Frost falls in love and begs Father Winter to make him "human" so that he can marry Elisa. Features the voices of Buddy Hackett, Robert Morse, Paul Frees, Larry Storch, Dave Garroway and Debra Clinger.

Great minds think alike, LOL. I taped Santa Claus Is Comin To Town yesterday off Hallmark. I forgot all about the marathon on ABC Family. I'll just have to catch the repeats. Or I can just tape the marathon when it repeats on Christmas Eve.
