Default In the House Post Debbie Allen

Did anyone stop watching "In the House" after Jackie and Austin Warren left? As for me, I taped the show when it was on NBC. In fact, it was my favorite show at that time. When it moved to UPN, it was on at 2:00 am and I accidentally missed an episode. I got a few, and at that time I didn't know how to set the timer, but I just gave up on the series. I did get back in time for the last few episodes and then reruns on Fox 45. However, I think the show went downhill after Debbie Allen was gone.

ITA,
they didn't know what to do with the show. It was horrible after Debbie and company left. And then when they brought Kim Wayans and Alfonso Riberio I thought what will they think of next. Poor Alfonso must have been so desperate for a gig that he played "Carlton Banks--the sports medicine doctor."

Default in the house post- debbie allen

i'm sure kim wayans and alfonso ribero are very talented, but i think the biggest mistake which led to the demise of the show, in my personal view, was when the producers wrote out debbie allen's character, jackie at the end of the first season. i liked her, she was great. she was very much the show's own 'vivian banks' but the only difference that sets them apart is their class, in wealth terms. in the house wasn't as funny and as interesting later on in the series when she left. it is still one of my favourite shows, but whereas the fresh prince of bel air lasted as long as 5 or 6 seasons, the reason why it was so successful was because of the characters mainly as well as the storylines- although it can be argued that it got more schmaltzy after the introduction of nicky in the banks household. anyway, i thought debbie's presence was partly to do with why a lot of the fans liked the first season so much. when jackie and austin left, the show had sorely lacked the humour and failed to prolong interest in in the house. and thus, it went downhill as a result

sorry, i meant the first 2 seasons. i was confused at first because i thought the episodes with kim wayans and alfonso ribeiro were from season 2, when in fact they are from season 3.

seasons 3 and 4 were awful.
