I though it would be fun to have a thread about Earth's most geographical or climate extreme such as tallest mountain, deepest lake, largest city, coldest or hottest place on earth. I go first

Apparently the hottest place on Earth is Furnace Creek in Death Valley, California, USA, with a verified maximum of 56.7 °C (134 °F) recorded on July 10, 1913.
