Default Happy Days Thanksgiving

What are our favorite people thankful for?

Richie: I'm thankful for an amazing directing career, two Oscars, many more awards, a bald head and Russell Crowe's love (looks around table and see's people staring at him strangely) Sorry, wrong person. I, RICHIE CUNNINGHAM, am thankful for my Mom and Dad, my little bratty sister, my dumb friends, the cool Fonz, and this giant turkey sitting in front of me. Oh, and I'm also thankful for sheep!

Fonzie: Uh, I, THE FONZ("uh, no Fonz, you don't have to do that, I did it cause I forgot who I was."). Got it, Red. Ya see, I'm not used to this. I've never had such a family. And I am th-......t-.......t-ha.....("thankful, Fonz?") Yeah, that's it. That's what I am.

Marion: Oh, I have so much to be thankful for. Let's see. Of course, I'm thankful for having such a wonderful husband, he's such a strong...powerful man (everyone smirks at Howard and when he gets what Marion means, he pauses), and I'm thankful for my dear children (Ralph: Are they strong...and powerful too...(laughs, Richie kicks him under the table) Oh Richard, don't kick your friends. And I'm grateful for having Arthur here to join us for dinner (Fonzie blushes). And I'm thankful for this great meal. I must tell Mother how I made it. Let's see, I will have to start explaining about the turkey first. Hmm, first you take the turkey and you...well, I suppose you need the stuffing first, but no, take the turkey and then (Howard: Marion, I don't think turkeys live in heaven) Oh sorry, well then I will have to talk about the mashed potatoes (Howard: Marion!) Sorry Howard, your turn

Howard; I'm hungry....I'm thankful for the food, can I eat not (Marion: Howard!) Fine, my family, their.....(looks evily at Potsie and Ralph) friends, Fonzie, my business, now can I eat? (Marion: Joanie next)

Joanie (we'll assume she's fourteen): Well, I'm thankful for many things. I'm thankful that I don't have to go to Junior Chipmunks anymore, It was so immature for me. I'm thankful that Jenny Piccolo is my best friend, cause she shows me all this neat stuff about...(Marion grabs her hand)...oh yeah, Mom said I couldn't talk about it at the table cause it turns the air blue, but I don't see any colors. Anyway, I'm thankful for having Potsie sitting right next to me (rubs Potsie's knee, he jumps). I'm thankful that my family is healthy even though I wish my dad would get a sore throat so he wouldn't send me to my room as much (Howard glares)> I'm thankful for my older brother even though he makes me watch out for mom and dad when he's necking on the couch (Howard and Marion glare at Richie). I'm thankful that Fonzie is here and not in his room cause on most nights, I hear the strangest noises coming from up there. You hear all these moans and shrieks, you'd think someone was dying (Fonzie starts to cough). I'm thankful for having a house free of Chachi! (suddenly a high pitched scream comes from outside: HI, BLUE EYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSsssssssss!!!) Wow, that sounded like Chachi falling off a tree!!! (Everyone runs outside) And most of all, I'm thankful that that tree didn't fall on my house cause then I 'd never date Chachi, even if he burned down Arnold's for me!

Scene: In the Cunningham closet

Chuck: What am I grateful for? Well, I guess I'm happy that I have my basketball with me. But let me start off with what I'm NOT grateful for. I'm NOT grateful for my family. They locked me in here years ago. I came back from basketball practice, got a little mud on the carpet and dad freaked out! But I think he's been thinkin' about doin' this for years. I'm not grateful that my dumb brother and sister ignore me and even throw their stuff on me when they open the closet. I ask you, if you opened the closet and saw your elder brother sitting there, wouldn't you have the decency to just say, "hi"? But no, that's acknowleding my presence and that's not good. I'm NOT grateful that some leather jacket-ed HOOD stole my spot. Oh he's goin' and givin' Richie and Joanie advice. I'm the older brother, they should ask me! But this moron just moved right in and stole my spot. And now it's Fonz this and Fonz that. Well, what about Chuck this and Chuck that, huh!!! I'm not grateful for my friends who actually believed dad when he told them that I won a scholarship to the University of Outer Mongolia. ...I think that's about it...No, wait....I'm also not grateful to have this cheap ham sandwich that I've had for years while they're enjoying a seven course meal out there!

These posts have me cracking up! And Chuck talking from the closet! OMG! That's just too funny! I think we're starting a trend here. I LOVE it.

As Fonzie hears Chuck call him a "Hood", I can just see him leaping to his feet and saying, "Whhooahhh..." and snapping his fingers.

Marion would say, "Calm down now, Arthur. You have to overlook poor Chuck, there's not much oxygen in that closet. His brain is starting to suffer from it."

Then Howard would look up at her and say, "Marion, I don't think it's the lack of oxygen that's causing it. He never was the brightest boy."

At this time, Potsie would, of course, chime in and say something like, "Well, it wasn't Fonzie who took Chuck's place. Mr. and Mrs. C wanted to adopt ME!"

Ralph would reply, "Potsie, they can't adopt you. There's a no pets allowed zoning policy!"

Everyone would laugh and Howard would roll his eyes and sigh.

Ralph would follow up by grinning and saying, "I still got it!"

Marion: Al, you're next.

Al: (Stands up) I'm thankful for Rosa Coletti (everyone looks shocked) If she hadn't walked out on me, I'd never would have met Louisa and I wouldn't have been as happy as I am now. I'm thankful for the Cunninghams and Fonzie, Ralph, Potsie, Chachi burning down Arnolds, accidentally of course, because now I have a new improved Arnolds. Yep, yep yep yep yep.
