When I say this, I mean that he was one of the major keys to the success of the show, making it the special show that it was (in addition to Sherwood Schwartz). He was a trained Shakespearean actor. Acting Shakespeare was what he would have rather been doing, while he was making the show.
But his conscientiousness as an actor. His constant criticism of the scripts. These things really put a challenge to the production of the show. He brought a realism that would not have been there otherwise. He had an influence as well on the other actors of the show. He was the key ingredient to what the show became. |

Agreed. Robert Reed was amazing. I wish he enjoyed being on TBB as much as his fans.

I know this has been posted several times. I'm still not sure why,
but I think it is so ******** not to have Robert Reed on any of the new and current Brady Bunch memorbellia. I buy it , but it looks funny without him. After all Lucille Ball is passed away and look at all the merchandise of her there is out. I say they should have a clause where if a actor or actress in a sitcom dies they can still put there picture on future products. I've said my case. Rest in Peace Robert Reed. |
