Red face Cliff never ever got angry or sad......

I think it's funny that of all characters... Cliff was the one to never show emotion like everyone did.Nothing seemed to really tick him off or make him worried like the children or Claire did.Yeah he's made scenes where he's angry he was always jokey about them.Claire did have the attitude about her when one of her children started trouble.Like that episode where Vanessa ran off to some concert with her friends while Claire & Cliff thought they were having a sleepover & it just happens that there's a fire where they're supposed to be.Even though Claire was funny when she snapped at Vanessa... she still had that anger side to her.All Cliff did was lecture them.... sit there... and just talk calmly.... I mean yeah alot of people do that... but there's got to be some times where you just want to scream at your children.

Well, there was an episode where he was angry..When Rudy and Kenny tried to tape a baby being born and he already told them to stay in the waiting room..But I thought his jokes were funny when he tried to get angry..

Cliff was angry in the episode Dance Mania-when theo was upset that cockroach was on dance mania and he wasn't, theo STORMED through the kitchen door with FORCE and Cliff was on his way in the kitchen with this angry look on his face. I think that was the only time Cliff was angry.

I think there were many scenes where cliff was angry but yeah Georgiaboy I agree his anger seemed more fun and less serious than Claire's. When Claire would get angry it was the type of anger where you felt like you were going to pee your pants. On the other hand when Cliff would get angry I got the sense that the children didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So I definitely agree with your observations. From the stories iv'e heard though in real life Bill Cosby seemed to be the real disciplinary one of the two.

Claire could be mean! Like the one where Vanessa goes to Baltimore, and started apologizing and Claire just blew up even more which IMO was soooo wrong...

Default Clair yelling at Vanessa for going Baltimore

It is funny that you mentioned that she was alittle mean. She was angery at Vanessa yes. But I don't think she needs to tell Vanessa to shut up everytime she tried to talk. I mean telling your own child to shut up??? Just a simple excuse me I am talking...but oh well.

Wrong of Right, ti was Vanessa's own fault. Had she not left, she would not have had to go through that with her mother. I felt that anger from Clair. That was some serious stuff.

Claire: YOU were in Baltimore having biiiiig fun. Isn't that why you went to have fun. What kind of fun did you have? Let's see, well you had doughnuts!

I'm sure when you become a parent faced with that situation you'll say things you wouldn't normally say to a child. Clair had every right to react in that episode as she did. That was a very strong, powerful scene.

THat's true he doesn't get purely angry for the most part, but i think he was pretty angry when he and Clair came back from a trip and Theo had thrown a party with his friends and broke alot of the furniture. He tried to bring him to the army. But he was mad for that moment though.
