Default This Actor Would Have Been a Lot Better Alex than Glenn Scarpelli
David Coburn played Barbara's 13 year old genius tutor in a season 5 episode that aired tonight. His acting runs circles around Glenn Scarpelli's, One Day at a Time should have had David join as Alex in season 6 instead. But he might just be too good for a role that had such a high level of weenie-ness.

I agree. Or there was another young actor who guest starred on One day at a time, season 7 or 8 ? He played a classmate of Alex who got in trouble, was in the principals office with Alex. I thought he would have been a good choice to have played Alex rather than Glen.
