NBC decided to stick with FT even with low ratings 2 months after its debut and renewed the show with 22 more eps.

What's the date of this article? There were only 22 episodes taped in the first season. This would have been a full season order after two months.

NBC likely ordered 13 episodes to start the season. Then they would have picked up the back nine episodes for the full season.

There were only four episodes aired during the first two months.

1. 1-1 22 Sep 82 Pilot
2. 1-2 29 Sep 82 Not With My Sister You Don't
3. 1-3 06 Oct 82 I Know Jennifer's Boyfriend
4. 1-4 27 Oct 82 Summer of '82

NBC moved it to Monday nights at 8:30 EST in March of 1983.

Nov 3, 1982..USA Today. It said debut ep was 9/26, then one more aired and it was pre-empted twice for world series. Then it returned and fell to 58th and NBC still was committed and I guess order 19 more eps. to make 22?

u right it was sept 29th I got 26th confused with 26th in ratings. USA today didnt mention pilot for some reason. I see 13th and 20th was two pre-emption dates.
