1. Naomi wearing Yellow most of the time
2. Iola wearing Pink most of the time 3. Thelma wearing Blue/Purple dresses and hats most of the time 4. Mama saying the last line of every show as we see the house 5. Iola always saying the famous "Knock, Knock" 6. Naomi always saying the famous "Now, Ms. Harper!" 7. Vint saying the famous "Now Mama!" or "Thanks a lot Mama!" 8. Bubba doing things that make Thelma think he may be gay 9. Iola always mentioning her mother (almost in every episode) 10. Vint wearing the "lock and key" jacket 11. Whenever Thelma is outside she talks to things such as her roses and her grass : ) 12. Naomi mentioning about having a baby or "little Sweet Pea" 13. Naomi and Vint always mentioning Basement a lot 14. Iola wearing the sweater with the "B" on it ![]() Those are my observations of the show |

Damn, I thought I was the only one who noticed these things. It always seems like they wear the same old stuff every day of their lives. And the clothes were just UGLY! The characters dressed TOO old-fashioned for the time period that the show was on (1980's). Perfect example: the ladies on the "Reading the Riot Act" episode or the "classy" friends on "The Mama who Came to Dinner".
Mama got it right and I agree with her when she says "Well, GOOD LORD!" |
