I have DirecTV and haven't been able to find WKRP anywhere. Anyone know if it's being shown?

As far as I know, it's only being shown in Canada right now. Someone posted it may be shown in Cincinatti in 2003.

Answer my a question about direct tv; do you get a channel on their called KDOC out of Anaheim. I was surprised to hear someone mention that it was, but maybe they just lived in southern california.

Also, do you have a channel called Trio?
If you get any of this stuff, maybe we can trade one of these days.

The Comedy Channel here in Canada airs WKRP on weekday afternoons.

WKRP starts here on WXIX tv Monday, February 3 at 5. am. I posted that they said it might start here after the holidays and they kept thier word. I have left messages with the station manager to return my calls to find out if they are the cut versions or the originals but haven't heard back yet. I just found out and am so exicted to see the show again. I am going out to buy tapes right now. By the way, to the person who askes if directv has trio, the answer is yes they do.

I just checked their website and programming grid, and there is no listing as of yet.
Where did you hear this or see this?

You also once stated that you talked to Columbia House and that they said they were going to release WKRP in February. Any word on that?

Well here we are, Wednesday Feb 5, and no WKRP on the schedule for WXIX. I really wonder why you say these things.

I sent and email and got a response and they said "no" and that they don't own the rights and that maybe TVLand owns it.

I'll post the actual email tomorrow (it is on my work computer).

So I doubt you saw it today.
What time was it on?

Unless this WXIX is not in Cincinnati because that is the one I'm talking about - and I think their program director knows what is on.

What do you say now?

Here is what I got from WXIX:

FOX19 does not own the rights to the program WKRP, so we will not be airing it. I believe the rights for this program are owned by either Nick at Nite or TVLand cable channel. You may want to check with them to see if they will be airing the program.

The Comedy Network here in Canada has been airing WKRP since 1999! I have all of the episodes on tape, but not in the right order! I voted on /tvshowsondvd.com/ for WKRP to be put in a season by season DVD set! I have the first three seasons of MASH on DVD and it's great!

Well here is what I have to say. First, I don't have to defend myself to you because I don't even know you but I will say this. I watched WKRP for the last week and half and that is all I know. It come down to my word against yours. Even if anyone believes that the station manager actually wrote that message, for all we know you wrote it yourself, he could be wrong or you might have had the wrong station, I don't know and don't care, but I did watch it. People who lie have an agenda for doing so or something to gain. What would I possibly have to gain by lying? What would I get out of it. I invite anyone to call the station and ask for themselves because I don' believe you did. By the way, to the other post, MASH season three is out already? I have the first two and am waiting for three. I wonder if its out only in Canada.

Who knows why you are lying? I didn't write that message, it was straight from my mail. I'll forward the original (so their is no doubt) to you TJ or anyone else who doubts it. My word against yours? Why would I not want WKRP to be on and in a city over 1,000 miles away from me?

Name the episodes that were on- episodes you claimed were aired by WXIX in Cincinnati.

And you also claimed that Columbia House told you that WKRP was going to be released, and that is not true either.

I never claimed to have any credibility, as people here don't know me but you claimed to have so much and people don't know you either. The episode on this morning was the one about where Herb buys his daughter a frog and spray paints it pink and it dies. In regards to your other comment, I don't know why you care so much about a station you can't even get. That is what I have been wondering. I was making a point that I have nothing to gain by lying so doing it would pointless.
