Nancy Kerrigan's famous Campbell's Soup commercial

The year was 1992 and the new year had just begun and the Winter Olympics was the talk of the town and had many sponsors doing special promotions. One sponsor was Campbell's Soup and in 1992 to mark the 1992 Winter Olympics Campbell's Soup launched a commercial that featured top Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan. The commercial begins with Nancy doing a wonderful skating routine then takes a break with a bowl of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup and talks about how soup is a wonderful meal for sports stars to give them energy. Then Nancy Kerrigan tries her hand at playing hockey then the commercial ends with Campbell's 90's slogan "Never Underestimate The Power Of Soup". Campbell's Soup later did another commercial that this time featured Michelle Kwan and Nicole Bobek for the 1998 Winter Olympics. Campbell's Soup has always been a big sponsor of the Olympics and it's easy to see why they choose top athletes and ice skaters because they know if a ice skater wins a gold medal that alone can get them commercial stardom. And it must've worked magic for Nancy Kerrigan
