Lightbulb New 10-10-220 Commercial with Hollywood Hogan! #8

Today during Card Sharks on GSN, I happen to see a brand new commercial for 10-10-220. It featured Alf and Hogan. It is a different one. They were both in an almost dark house writing something and talking about long distance rates. I don't really remember the scene, but I'll post what really happened.

I've started to see a lot of these commercials again. This is his eighth one for the company. Here are the ones you can see aside from this one, which will be listed below:

1. With Terry Bradshaw while watching TV

2. With Mike Piazza at a restaurant with an old geezer and a blonde diggin' chick!

3. With Emmitt Smith on a Larry King type talk show.

4. With Emmitt Smith in a hotel room while sitting next to a guy who is too weak to dial 10-10-220!

5. With Toby Keith and they he talks about his busy schedule, but Alf's a couch potato!

6. With Emmitt Smith again! This time they're in a clothing store and they seem to be a lot alike.

7. With Hollywood Hogan, at singer's concert whom the singer is pretty.

8. With Hollywood Hogan, this time, they're in an almost dark house writing something and discussing long distance.

You can see all these and other 10-10-220 commercials without Alf on TV. For a few months, I did not see them as much as I used to. You can usually catch these on Nick @ Nite, TV Land, MSNBC, Game Show Network, ABC Family Channel, ESPN, and ESPN-2! As well as broadcast stations in your area!

The reason why these commercials have re-appeared lately is because I like to watch Nick @ Nite for Charles in Charge repeats and I also see them during Pardon the Interruption on ESPN. They also appear on TV Land and usually on GSN, because I always watch GSN when I'm at my grandma's house.

Hey, TJ! You should switch to decaf!

Here's how the script goes. Hollywood Hogan and Alf are in a lively looked old house that is pre-dark.

I forget how Hollywood opens it, but here's what is said afterwords.

Alf: Pee-U. He "thinketh" rhymes with "stinketh".
Hogan: Alf, it's about 10-10-220.
Alf: Yeah. It's $0.99 for all calls up to 20 minutes.
Hogan: Yeah, its cheap! Brother!
Alf: You came from another mother.
Announcer: Dial 10-10-220.

Does anyone know how Hogan opened this commercial?

I have that commercial on tape. If I have time to see it again, I'll make you a transcript, and possibly take some caps, for ya. *winter break! * (Check your PM's.. if you haven't already.)

I think I've seen the show once or twice. It starred Valerie Harper (aka Rhoda) in it's 1st year. Then her character passed on and Sandy Duncan then came. The show was called "Valerie" from 86-87, then "Valerie's Family" from 87-88 and then for the rest of the show's run, it was the Hogan Family. There's a message board and website for it here.
