What NON-CABLE Channels are your local channel stations? These are mine:

ABC - WOI-TV 5 DES MOINES

CBS - KCCI-News Channel 8

PBS (Channel 11)(Iowa Public Television-IPTV)

FOX - KDSM FOX 17 (Channel 4 on my Cable system)(or U on small b&w TVs)(or 17 or 68 on TVs with antennas)

WB - KPWB Your Station Channel 23! (If on antenna, channel 74)

I don't get PAX or UPN

Iowa doesn't get UPN altogether unless you have satelite.

WNDS (local) Derry -6

WHDS NBC-7

PBS- 11 (Channel 2 is NHPBS)
UPN38- 12

All the channels used to match up (UPN38 WAS 38 etc) but the cable company switched them all around.

Just when you get used to them!

If you live in Southern California, these are the channels you will get on regular broadcast:

8- ABC (San Diego feed)
9- KCAL (independent)
11- FOX
13- UPN
17- TBS (some people in L.A. get this in regular broadcast)
18- independent (Korean)
22- KHWY (independent)
26- Spanish independent channel
28- KCET (PBS)
30- PAX
34- Univision
40- some religion channel
44- I don't know the channel's name!
46-Telefutura
50-KOCE (PBS)
52- Telemundo
54- TV Azteca
56- KDOC (independent classic tv channel)
58- KLCS (Los Angeles School District/PBS)
62- independent (Spanish/Korean)
67- Home Shopping Network (used to be on Ch. 46)

WOW! That's alot of channels! LOL.

*EDIT* I forgot about some other channels.

Yeah, I agree, LOL. But when I had cable, I had two ABCs, two CBS, two NBCs and two FOX's.

CABLE:
2 WESH 2 (NBC)
3 WOFL 35 (FOX)

6 WKMG 6 (CBS)
7 WPBF 25 (ABC)
8 WKCF 18 (WB)

The 9 and 12 I'm not sure of names for right now. On satellite, I only get 4, 5, 7, 11, 12 & 13, and a PBS (WXEL 42) and an idependent religious station, but they actually go by the actual numbers, 5, 12, 25, 29, 34, etc.

Hell no. Of course I live ten miles away from Scranton and they get it. We can't even get it on antenna but everyone else in Greene County can.......even Paton and they are the farthest away from Jefferson or wherever. I would only want PAX for The Weakest Link, NeWayz.

Here we have 2 CBS's and 2 WB's. One WB affiliate is our local one and the other one is WB2 from Denver. I have no clue why we get both. I mean one of the two could be used for say TVland.

Basically if you don't have have cable here, you're screwed. Non-cable people receive ABC, CBS, ABC and PBS. That's it. If we didn't have basic cable, I'd go insane.

I still think I remember the line-up my cousins had in Chicago. We had basic cable (Which was great cause we got about 80 something channels) but the non-cable subscribers get 10 - 15 channels I think?

2 - CBS
5 - NBC
7 - ABC
9 - WB
11 - PBS (WTTW)
20 - PBS
23 - Spanish/Polish
26 - WCIU
28 - The Box (I think it's MTV2 now, but it's only available in a few areas)
32 - FOX
38 - PAX
50 - UPN
66 - Univision

Yep, 13 channels.
