An I Love Lucy Father’s Day:

(Lucy is decorating the living room for Ricky’s Dad’s arrival.)

(Ethel comes in.)

Ethel: “Lucy, how’s everything going?”

Lucy: “It’s going great. I set up the banners and whatnot. I even ordered the cakes from Walmart. They should be here soon.”

(Lucy checks her smartphone and cries.)

Lucy: “Ethel, I am in a terrible jam. I ordered the cake and it’s not going to be here until next Sunday.”

Ethel: “Lucy, how could you?”

Lucy: “Well, I was tired. I wanted to order the cake then watch my show. Come on Ethel, let’s go to Walmart. We have to make it back in 20 minutes or my name is Mud.”

Ethel: “How do you do Mrs. Mud Ricardo?”

Lucy: “Oh.”

(They go to Walmart and get the cake as soon as possible and speed home.)

(Meanwhile, Ricky, his Dad and Fred are in the Ricardos.)

Ricky: “What’s taking them so long?”

(The girls arrive home with a cop. The girls have cake all over them.)

Male cop: “Are you Mr. Ricardo?”

Ricky: “Yes.”

Cop: “This wife was speeding.”

Lucy: “We got out with the cake here and fell.”

Fred: “You two had your cake and ate it too.”

Lucy: “See I ordered the incorrect cake and it’s not was not going to arrive on time.”

(Ricky laughs.)

Ricky: “This whole thing could only happen to you.”

(Lucy laughs.)

Lucy: “Happy Father’s Day everyone.”
