I didn't care for a lot of the episodes in the final season, especially the vacuum cleaner episode. I just didn't find them anywhere near as funny as the episodes from the first 6 seasons were. I also thought the burning down the houses storyline was just lame.
I don't think I can ever watch the Lowell's House of Wax episode again. I only saw it once. It was on the morning of September 11, 2001 ![]() Overall, I think a huge majority of the episodes are excellent and I think a bad Wings episode is still a heck of a lot funnier than lot of the garbage that is on TV nowadays. |

I was wondering if there was even a subject on this. I know it was originally posted a while back but I just found it. I, too, think the later episodes weren't as good or funny. Remember that guy, Cord? One episode that I'm not too fond of is the one where Brian gains weight because he's eating so much because of Helen & Joe being together. I guess TV show writers seem to think that a person getting fat is funny, and it's not just the Wings writers. Brian's wearing sweat pants and t-shirt like I guess the writers think that's the only outfit a heavy person can fit into. I know, I know, lighten up, it's just a show but coming from somebody who has struggled with her weight my whole life, it just gets to me. Stop eating? If it were that easy and not as tempting, I'd be thinner!! Besides, I'd still think Steven Weber was good looking and sexy even with a little 'pooch' and love handles!!

As for Cord Clayton from the "Wingless" trilogy, the actor who played him went on the co-star in one of my favorite shows. He played (or plays) Byron Togler on "Andy Richter Controls the Universe." To stay on topic, my least favorite episode, is, and I know many people seem to like this episode. "My Brother's Keeper," I can't watch that episde again it's so annoying. I also didn't like the Time Capsule episode they showed in the marathon. And since when did Casey participate in their childhood memories. I thought it was just the three friends, Joe, Brian and Helen. When Casey came on the show, all of a sudden, she used to hang out with them too. |

In my opinion I would have thought Casey would be apart of it because she was a sister of Helens

I got the impression that Casey didn't hang out with them much as kids. I think they even said in one episode that Casey hung out with the Kennedy's when they were younger.

It's always funny to get perspectives from different people. I enjoyed "Brothers Keeper". Tyne Daly was great, and happened to win an emmy for that performance and Steven Weber was very funny too.
I also really enjoyed the Time Capsule episode. Even though it's just a sit-com I was honestly touched when it turned out that Helen's dream at the age of 10 was to marry Joe Hackett some day. I thought that was really well done. And the goofy stuff, like Brian as James Bond really made me laugh. I guess if I had to pick a couple episodes I didn't care for much I would say the one when Roy tricks the gang into digging a hole for his hot tub or the Lowell episode when they go to the wax museum. |

OK, the wax museum episode, I'll give you that, but the hot tub episode? I think when Roy dancing and singing to 'Buttons & Bows' is hilarious!!

(Which is probably a good thing. If everyone just agreed with everyone on everything, it would be mighty boring around here.)

Quite true AdamTV! Looks like a few didn't agree with my opinion on Hot Tub Roy either (lol)......ahhhh, but that's the spice of life.
There is never any wrong or right answer to these kinds of questions.....it's just fun to see what people respond to and we all obviously like the show alot. I'd rather watch a Wings episode that I considered one of the worst of the series ANY day, then about 90% of what's offered on TV anyways. |

I also would rather watch a bad Wings episode than watch about 95% of the garbage that's currently on network TV. With a few exceptions, I think network TV nowadays is just a vast wasteland, especially those trashy reality shows.
