On Pandora I discovered a singer named Cilla Black and she was a very popular singer in the UK in the 60's and when I listened to Cilla Black sing she sounded amazing. I did learn that she was the original singer of the song Alfie before Dionne Warwick sang it and it became the theme song for the movie of the same name. Cilla Black continued to release albums until her death in the 2010's. What was Cilla Black's first ever hit? And did Cilla ever try to become big in America?

Cilla Black's first ever hit was "Love of the Loved," but her breakthrough single that topped the charts was "Anyone Who Had a Heart" in 1964.

I wonder why Cilla Black never got successful in America? Because she had a wonderful voice and she was truly amazing. I didn't even know who Cilla Black was until I read about her in one of the liner notes of my Dionne Warwick albums and then I found her on Pandora and found more songs of Cilla Black
