Why does Fonzie mostly call Richie, Cunningham? Sometimes he calls him Richie or Red. But, mostly calls him Cunningham.

What I really love is when Fonzie pronounces his name RiCHARD. That sounds so classy.

IMO, he called him Cunningham, when Fonzie wanted answers out of Richie, and Richie was beating around the bush. Or, if something was wrong, Fonzie would point to the john and say Cunningham! My office!

I agree! I think the nick that Fonz would call Richie at any given moment reflected mostly on the mood Fonz was in when he said it. When he was agitated he'd say, "Cunningham" and when he was in a good, brotherly mood he'd say "Red"
