I have hooked 2 vcrs together. You will need a cable cord thing I think it's a line in line out jack cord. You can get them in Radio Shack. Just ask for one. On the newer vcrs should be line in/line out jacks (audio in/out video in/out) jacks. On the vcr that you are playing the tape to tape from put the audio in/out cord in the in audio out jack & the video in/out cord in the video out jack. On the vcr you are using to record with, put the audio in/out cord in the in audio in jack & the video in/out cord in the video in jack. Try playing a tape on the vcr you are playing tapes from for recording & turn on the vcr you are taping with & make sure the tv vcr on button in on on the vcr you are taping with but off in the other one. this way you can see if it is feeding in right.
To tape, put you tape you wish to tape from in the vcr you wish to play it on. Put a blank tape you want to record it on in the other vcr. Hit play on the first vcr & start it up to play. Hit record on the 2nd vcr to record & there ya go. I hope I got this right. The mind goes fuzzy after age 40 LOL! If I'm wrong I'm sure someon will correct me... |

All you need is an audio/video cable. It'll cost you about $4-$5. Hook it from audio to video hookups from vcr to vcr.

If the Tape you are copying is a Store Bought manufactured program it may have Copy Protection and you would need a Stabalizer to copy them, tapes made at home can be copied simply. Match the colors on the RCA cables. Plug into the OUT on the PLAY machine, The IN on the Record machine. Then take another set of RCA cables and match the colors, OUT on the Record Machine, IN on the TV.
