Things Ya Dont See Much of Anymore

Hello guys,

Years ago the fine department stores had cash carriers. The salespeople did not make the change on the floor but put the money in a little container similar to those ppl use at the drive through bank.

The money would go up to the ceiling and zip around the store to the cashiers office in heaven and after a while your change would come back zipping down to you. This totally enchanted me. Mysterious. Who was up there?

I always asked my mom what would they do if someone sent the tube up with nothing in it.. She said they would just send it back...

Imagine ya put alot of money in it (Over $1000) and pressed to send it and it got jammed up in the ceiling?? -- I dont think those things are very reliable!! (They are still in use a little I see)

When was the last time you saw an elevator operator? Now its just whomever is already in there when you get in. "What floor?"

Things are much worse in my opinion.... In almost every way
