Cool

Easy one. Stephen's reaction after he discovers that his kids had rented out the house to strangers for homecoming weekend in the 4 Rooms (Kangaroo) episode. He has some CLASSIC quotes in that one: "The billboard on Route 41" and "There was a kangaroo in my living room." One of the funniest moments in sitcom history!

Hmm, my favorite moment? Wow there's so many to choose from. I tend to enjoy the more emotional episodes the most. One scene that always gets me is when Steven was hospitalized after having a heart attack, and Elyse breaks down in the hospital and Alex tells her that he'll always be there for her. I also thought the scene in my name is Alex where Alex screams out why am I alive with tears streaming down his face was extremely touching. Plus the final family ties episode near the end when Elyse and Alex are in his room and they both break down. That scene gets to me everytime I see it. There were so many great moments, but those are just a few of my favorites.

When the Keatons first meet Nick and have him over for dinner. They are all sitting around the dinner table and Nick says " This is nice. Do you always eat dinner like this?" and Alex says "You mean with utensils?" Mallory then gives Alex a kick under the table. That ep was hilarious

Favorite Family Ties moments:
Elyse dealing with her mom's divorce and finally coming around to be there for her mother. That was a tear jerker.

When Steven had his heart attack when Elyse's fear increased when another patient with the same operation died.

The final episode with Elyse and Alex in the room when expressing their true feelings about his leaving.

I did enjoy the moments when Meredith Baxter showed more dramatic flair. It was more natural for her than her trying to do comedy.

I love the moments with her and Stephen.

I really liked in The Fugitive when Tom Hanks ran to the window to see the licence plates on the car. I found it funny how he tried to casually say that he was going to get some ice cream to avoid having to get confronted by the police.

In the episode where Elyse and Steven went out and Mallory, Alex and Jennifer had a party I thought it was funny when Mallory protested against Alex being in charge.

Mallory: I say we should go by height.

Alex: Why don't we go by life expectancy?

Family Ties has some of the best lines.

Even though I stated how I enjoyed the scrabble face offs, my all time favorite moment was at the end of Miracle in Columbus when the group goes to the window to see Santa in the sky, and Alex opens his miniature sports car from Santa.

I haven't seen this episode in YEARs, but it was where Jennifer learned how to drive. I don't remember the dialogue or anything, but how they were all sitting in the kitchen in an imaginary car, and Steven was telling her what to do. Then, Jennifer decided to drive a little recklessly, and everyone in the family was being jerked back and forth like they were in an actual car -- but they were just sitting in the kitchen!!!

I wish I had that one on tape.
