After Freddie Prinze Sr.'s suicide, how did they explain Chico's absense from the show?

At first they said Chico went to work with his father & didn't mention much more about him. Then later there was a RAUL RUNS AWAY episode where Raul find stuff that belongs to Chico & ask about him & Ed Brown is upset about it. So Raul runs away thinking Ed liked Chico better. Ed goes after him & finds him in Mexico in his old hometown & tells him Chico died. They never did say how Chico died tho. They flashback on Freddie in this episode & show some old clips of him & it's a real tearjearker. If you watch it you'll need plenty of hankies. I don't think they ever mention Chico again on the show after this episode. They did not handle his death right. There should've been an immediate mention of his death on there & a show done in tribute to him & the show cancelled. Raul was a cute & precocious kid but he was no Freddie Prinze. The show was still good but never as good as with Freddie Prinze. Hope this helps ya out...
