One of my very favorite works of Shelley Fabares is the made-for-TV
movie Brian's Song (1971). IMO she was achieving one of the best looks of her career. These images are from the film itself and publicity stills -- hot. Hot. HOT. HOT !! So nice in these first 2 images: her lovely dark hair swept back off of her forehead, wearing small earrings. Absolutely love Shelley's look in these photos, super-pretty: O M G - that one right above may well be my all-time favorite Shelley Fabares photo. Stunningly beautiful. These next 2 images illustrate the wonderful long length of Shelley's hair, hot to the extreme! The section pulled back exhibits gentle curling, very nice! Dark and lovely: An interesting image illustrating Shelley's dramatic role; center-parted beautiful tresses, somewhat heavier eye makeup: This final image is from her series work, The Brian Keith Show a.k.a. The Little People. Center-parted hair, brighter color, with hoop earrings: |

In all these pictures she is flat out gorgeous.
She is still with us at age 82, along with her husband, actor Mike Farrell. Interesting fact I heard when she was interviewed on the That's Classic Youtube channel: her aunt, actress Nanette Fabray (1920 - 2018), changed her named from Fabares, since the name was mispronounced. |
