Blair: Don and I were just out for coffee after class. *flips her hair.
Mrs. G: *looks at Jo then back at Blair* Blair, didn't you forget someone?
Blair *looks around*: No, I introduced all the wonderful people..*looks at Jo* And then there's Jo...
Jo: *doesn't even look up* Hi
Don: It's nice meeting all of you...*turns to Blair* LIsten, Blair, I have to go. You're meeting me in town tonight, right?
Blair: You bet *don kisses her her*
Don: alright, see you later! Again, it was nice meeting you all!*leaves*
Blair: Mrs. Garrett, I'm going to be leaving at about 5:30, so, I won't be here for dinner.
Mrs. G: Where are you going, and what time will you be back?
Blair: It's a surprise and...midnight?
Mrs. G: I don't like not knowing where you are...but, I suppose it's alright...
Blair: Thank you...I have to go get ready *goes upstairs*
Jo: I don't like him.
Nat: Why?
Jo: Just the rumors I've heard.
Tootie: What rumors?
Jo: Nevermind, they're just rumors.
Mrs. G: *looks a little concerned* Natalie, Tootie, could you girls go and start fixing dinner?
Nat: sure.
Tootie: Why not?*they go into the kitchen*
Mrs. G: Jo...
Jo: Like I said, they're probably just rumors.
Mrs. G: Jo, rumor or not, if Blair could be in danger, we need to help her.
Jo: I'll warn her to be careful.
Mrs. G: Thank you.
Jo: Yea, and you tell Natalie and Tootie to stay inside after dark and to not go anywhere alone.
Mrs. G:*looking concerned* Jo, is it really that bad?
Jo: Just tell them.
Mrs. G: Alright. Jo, you be careful too, okay?
Jo: I'm always careful.
Mrs. G: I know. Be extra careful.
Jo: Alright.
Mrs. G: *changing the subject* Come on, let's go fix dinner.
Jo: Umm, I'll be there in a minute. I'm gonna go talk to Blair. *goes upstairs*
Mrs. G: *goes into the kitchen*

Blair: *notices her serious tone* okay...
Jo: YOu know that I don't give you advice on the guys you date, but I just wanted to tell you that I've heard things about Don, and, well, just be careful, alright?
Blair: *smiles* Jo Polniazcek(sorry if I spelled it wrong, I can never remember...), worried about Blair Warner...there's something new.
Jo: Just be careful.
Blair: I'm always careful.
Jo: Fine, if you're not gonna listen to me, fine-you deserve what you're gonna get.*goes downstairs*
Mrs. G: How'd it go?
Jo: I don't think she took me seriously.
Mrs. G: Maybe she did, but she didn't show it.
Jo: Maybe...Mrs. G, can I follow her tonight?
Mrs. G: Jo, I don't think that's necessary.
Jo: I do. Listen, you now Blair and I are like sisters, Well, sisters protect each other.
Mrs. G: I don't think it's a good idea. She'd be with someone, but, you'd be by yourself. I don't like it.
Jo: oh, come on, Mrs. G. Someone's gotta protect her.THE GUY COULD RAPE HER!
Mrs. G: *looks at Jo extremely worried*Is that what you've heard?

Mrs. G: I'll go talk to her...

Mrs. G: Blair, I don't know if therumors flying around are true ot not, but please, be careful.
Blair: Mrs. Garrett, I'm well aware of the rumors going around about Don.
Mrs. G: And you're going anyway?
Blair: Yes. I got to know him. He wouldn't do something like that. Not to me-not to anyone.
Mrs. G: I hope you're right, Blair, but I dont' like this one bit.
Blair: Well, I'm sorry you don't like it, Mrs. Garrett, but I'm going.
Mrs. G: I guess I can't stop you, but be careful. If anything happened to you, I'd..
Blair: *interrupting* Let's not think about that, okay? Mrs. Garrett, nothing's going to happen. Relax.
Mrs. G: Blair, I dont' think you're taking this very seriously.
Blair: That's because they're rumors-only rumors.
Mrs. G: Just promise me you'll be careful.
Blair: *seriously but kinda annoyed* Okay, I promise.
Mrs. G: *hugs her* thank you.
Blair: Thank you, Mrs. Garrett.
Mrs. G: For what?
Blair: For caring enough to come and warn me.
Mrs. G: Jo tried...
Blair: I know..I need to thank her too...
Mrs. G: *Smiles* Good...anyways, I'll let you finish getting ready. Make sure you tell me before you leave.

Mrs. G: *leaves*

Nat: Why can't we go? It's not a school night!
Mrs. G: Because I'm your guardian, and I said so.
Tootie: How come Blair go to go out?
Mrs. G: Because Blair is in college and responsible for herself.
Tootie: Fine, you win. We'll stay here.
Nat:*sarcastically* Come on, Tootie. Let's go upstairs and do some math homework. That's so much more fun than going to a movie!*they go upstairs*

wow..it's funny how far ahead in writing this I am in typing it...lol...it's like, "I already know what happens.." lol...I hand wrote some more today in study hall..I have twice as much written as I have posted so far..(not counting this post)...in case that tells you how much longer it's gonna be...I'm not even hardly half way through...

*As you see Jo disappearing, Blair comes in*
Blair: *closes the door* Mrs. Garrett! What are you doing up?
Mrs. G: I wanted to make sure you got home alright. *looks at watch* you're late.
Blair: I know, and I'm really sorry. The car broke down. Don didn't get his oil changed after 3000 miles.
Mrs. gL I suppose it's okay, under the circumstances. I'm glad you're alright.
Blair: See Mrs. Garrett, I told you he wouldn't do anything.
Mrs. G: You're right, but I had no way of knowing whther or not those rumors were true. I couldn't just let you walk into danger.
Blair: I know, thank you, Mrs. Garrett.
Mrs. G: Of course! Now let's go get some sleep.
Blair: Great, I'm exhausted.
Mrs. g: It was a long day for all of us.*yawns**they go upstairs. Mrs. G goes to her room-Blair goes to the girls' room...but soon...*
Blair: *knocks on Mrs. G's door*
Mrs. G: *says while getting up and putting her robe on* come in...
Blair: *is Jo in here?
Mrs. G: No, she's sleeping.
Blair: She's not in her bed. What'd she do, decide to sleep in the oven?
Mrs. G: What?! She's not in your room?
Blair: No!
Mrs. G: Okay, calm down. Maybe she went out to look for you.
Blair: Why would she do that?
Mrs. G: She was worried.
Blair: Great...now she's out there by herself!
Mrs. G: Blair, stay calm. We don't know that she's in trouble. She might have taken off to blow off some steam.
Blair: Right...blow off some steam...yea...okay. What do we do now?
Mrs. G: You go back to your room and sleep. I'll go downstairs and wait for Jo.
Blair:*looks disappointed* Okay, I guess...
Mrs. G: Blair, you need your rest.
Blair: you're right...but will you wake me up the second you hear anything about Jo?
Mrs. G: Of course.
Blair: Alright...I guess I can go to sleep, then. *goes back to her room*
Mrs. G: *chuckles a little, but her expression quickly changes to worry and she goes downstairs and sits on the couch.* Where are you, Jo? You know you shouldn't be out there by yourself.
*An hour later, Mrs. G is pacing, and the phone rings...she practically runs to get it*
Mrs. G: Hello?
Hodges: Yes, I'm Officer Hodges with the Peekskill Police. Is this the residence of a...Jo Polniaczek?
Mrs. G: Yes...did you find her?
Hodges: Yes, but probably not how you'd hoped we'd find her.
Mrs. G: *really worried almost in tears* How is she? What happened?
Hodges: Well, there's more emotional damage than anything. However, they are keeping her in the hospital to make sure everything's all right.Also, she won't let anyone near her, and they need to do an examination...
Mrs. G:What happened?
Hodges:*softly* She was raped.
Mrs. G: *one tear rolls down her cheek* I'll be at the hospital in 5 minutes.
Hodges: Make sure someone goes who can tlak her into letting them examine her. That's very important. If she does soon, we could catch this guy...but if she doesn't...there's not much chance.
Mrs. G: I understand, thank you Officer.*hangs up and goes upstairs to wake up Blair*

Mrs. G: *whispering* Well, you need to come with me.
Blair: *still whispering* Why? Did you get news about Jo?
Mrs.G: Yea, let’s let Natalie and Tootie sleep.
Nat: Too late, we’re up. *flips on the light*
Tootie: What’s going on? Where’s Jo?
Mrs. G: Well, actually, that’s what the phone call I got was about. Jo’s at the hospital. I guess she went out looking for Blair, and something happened.
Nat: Is she alright?
Tootie: Yea, what happened?
Blair: What happened, Mrs. Garrett?
Mrs. G: She was…*short pause* oh…girls…I don’t know how to say this..
Blair: Just say it Mrs. Garrett, we can take it.
Mrs. G: *puts an arm around Blair* She..was…raped.
Blair: Let’s go..
Tootie: Yea, Jo needs us.
Nat: What are we waiting for?
Mrs. G: Girls, I…I want you to be prepared for the Jo you’re going to see when we get there. She’s not letting anyone near her. She may not want us around. But don’t take it personally…and don’t push her.
Nat: Yea, I know how that feels.
Mrs. G: *hugs Nat * I know…let’s go..

Mrs. G: *walks quickly to the desk * Excuse me, can you tell me where Jo Polniazcek is?
Nurse: Are you family?
Mrs. G:…yes.
Nurse: *looks skeptical * I don’t believe you, but I’m going to tell you anyway. Maybe you can help us. However, only two of you can go in at a time. Room 422.
Mrs. G: Thank you. *turns back to the girls * Natalie, Tootie, do one of you want to go in first with Blair?
Nat: No, you go ahead, Mrs. Garrett. Jo would want you in there.
Tootie: Yea, I’m not sure what to say anyway.
Mrs. G: *puts her hand on Blair’s shoulder * You coming?
Blair: um…you go first Mrs. Garrett…I’m just not ready to see Jo yet. Not like that.
Mrs. G: Are you sure?
Blair: Umm…yea.
Mrs. G: Okay, *hugs Blair * It’s alright. Take your time. I’m going to go try to talk to her, anyone want to come?
Tootie: No, I can’t. It will kill me to see Jo like that.
Nat: I’ll go…
Mrs. G: Come on, we gotta see if we can talk to her.
Nat: Right…*they walk toward Jo’s room *

Nat: Yea.
Mrs. G: Are you okay?
Nat: I guess so. I’m more worried about Jo, at this point. I know what it’s like, Mrs. Garrett. It’s hard. Plus, Jo never tells anyone how she feels, you know that. That makes it so much harder-you wouldn’t believe it! It’s so horrible. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Especially not Jo…*starts crying a little *she deserves so much more than that. Mrs. Garrett, why does this have to happen?
Mrs. G: * hugs Natalie * I don’t know Natalie, I really don’t know. Come on, dry those tears, we can’t let Jo see that, now can we? She might think she has a reason to not let them examine her.
