I don't recall seeing the puppy either. I guess the dog just didn't mix well into the storylines. A dog can be there in a sense, but what can you write about the dog? It would've been weird as hell if the dog pooped in the floor and June told Beaver or Wally to clean up the mess, but they forgot to clean it up. Ward steps in the house and steps right in the mess. Ward might've pulled his shoe off or went outside to scrub the mess off. Most fathers, or people for that matter would start griping if they stepped in it. I hope you get what I'm saying because I started blabbering midway. lol

yea, well it would have beennice to see the boys just messing around with the dog, he didn't have to be written into a script to be there! he could just be around for the boys to mess with or to beg for scraps at the dinner table, it would have been a real easy way for beaver to dispense of the food he doesn't like!!

lol- I could picture it now: The Cleavers as The Osbournes. lol You know, that might not be such a bad idea. I might play around with some storylines and if I get anything good I can post it here.

Myhusband and I were laughing about the new puppy episode too!
LOL
He remarked "Well, there's a puppy you won't see on any other episode."
And I think he's right.
Am I correct, too that Captain Jack, the alligator man is the same actor who played Uncle Billy when he came to visit??
He watched the boys when June and Ward went away and Beaver got in trouble for helping Gilbert sneak into the theatre.
It's always amusing when actors are recycled on shows.
I noticed a lot of that on Little House, too.

Have a good one!

The Mertez's had a dog too (Lucy Goes On A Diet), yet when the Ricardos wanted a puppy.. it was a NO PETS ALLOWED apartment building!
