Are Easter commercials making a comeback? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It used to be that once spring arrived spring usually meant that Easter would soon be just around the corner and Easter would get hyped in commercials and now when you get the general picture today you don't see Easter commercials being shown much anymore and I haven't gotten a clue why Easter commercials aren't being seen much on TV today. When you turn on the TV the only commercials that promote Easter are Omaha Steaks promoting Easter dinners and The Honey Baked Company is also promoting Easter dinners as well. And in all honesty I think that they have started to make Easter like Thanksgiving and then you see commercials for stores like Target promote Easter sales for Easter candy and just like Christmas the stores market toys as Easter Basket Stuffers like stocking stuffers at Christmas. And when looking back at when supermarkets used to have commercials promoting Easter they would promote Easter a lot with sales with eggs hams and Easter themed cookies and cakes would be featured. But if you look at supermarket commercials today they have a double whammy of Easter and Passover sales and it tells me that this year Easter commercials will take the world by storm in two weeks and become huge for commercials

I think Easter this year had been forgotten about in commercials because I think that Easter hasn't been the big holiday that it used to be. Because it used to be that you would find Easter commercials shown on TV every year like the classic Cadbury Bunny commercials and others. But I think Easter today is not the big deal that it once was years ago and that's because already you see commercials promoting Mother's Day and Memorial Day and Easter commercials have been forgotten about
