Talking GG IS on at 6 PM Eastern...

Apparently Lifetime removed The Nanny from the 6 PM Eastern timeslot, because not only was The GG on during that time, it is also listed as the GG being on from 6-7 PM Eastern on Lifetime's website.

This is good news!

I'm glad Golden Girls is back on at 6:00, but why was The Nanny removed from the 6:00 time slot? Is The Nanny now only on in the mornings?

The Nanny is on at 9:30 and 10:30 AM EASTERN, and Midnight-1 AM EASTERN, Mon-Friday.

Since the Nanny only has 143 episodes, if they played it 5 times a day they would go through the whole series in 28 days.

It's not about winning. I was glad they cut back on GG. I love the show, and watch it every day, but I think it was time they cut back on it. I'm thinking The Nanny wasn't doing as well as Lifetime expected in that timeslot. I've found myself watching The Nanny more and more though.

Was it a two parter tonight (I didn't watch)? Maybe they just "pre-empted" The Nanny for tonight only?

I also have been watching The Nanny more and more. Goody, now I have two shows on Lifetime, Golden Girls and The Nanny, but the Golden Girls will always be the # 1 show with me, at least on Lifetime.

No... it's a permanent thing. The Nanny wasn't doing as well as expected.

Nah, it's just that I've seen GG so much, I'm kinda burned out on it. I mean I don't mind it, I jus think 6 times a day is a bit much for one show, even if it is Golden Girls. But yea, as long as I get the two eps at night, I'll be alright lol. Just don't want Lifeime to pull a N@ner on us and overplay the show til we get sick of it.

I noticed this as well as was quite happy. I had a feeling that the Nanny would not perform anywhere near as well in the timeslot as the Golden Girls!

That's the same way with me, Golden Girls will always be my #1 on Lifetime.

Well, I was getting a bit burned out on it as well, but I'm glad it has the 6:00-7:00PM full hour back. What is surprising is the morning schedule, why not Nanny 9-10, GG 10-11, Mad 11-12. It's just an odd morning schedule with GG, Nanny, GG, Nanny, Mad, Mad.

Well, this may be stating the obvious, but what about just not watching the show for awhile?

I mean, I got burned out on my FOL tapes, and I haven't popped those in since September. I think over Thanksgiving I may pull them out, though, and veg a bit.

If you get tired of something, it's a lot harder to come back to it later. Pop in a movie at night, read a book, turn on a CD... you can always skip an episode of Golden Girls.

And if you worry about missing an episode, pretend it's a marathon of the "Empty Nest" pilot. No one likes that one anyway!!!
