TVFactFan Member Forum Junkie Join Date: Aug 17, 2002 Posts: 99,026	1970s Sitcom you finally got to see and wasn't impressed? That show for me was Chico and the Man. It was considered a HIT during season 1 and after finally watching it on DVD I wasnt all that impressed. The old man on the show was irritable and nothing he said was funny. Chico wasnt funny either. The only one who kind of funny was Louie the older black man. But overall the show was dry Maybe it was a hit because women loved Chico. Just didnt see the appeal
