Hogan's heroes is coming back on MeTV. to replace 1 episode MASH. MASH is still continue with 3 episodes. saw a Reddit Post. about it.

I'm sure there's a lot of people just waiting to hear this news...

Supposedly returning at 6pm ET starting March 30. Also Dick Van Dyke returning at midnight on Sunday, April 5.

Supposedly per an email sent back to irate fans, for both.

The MeTV schedule for 3/30 does not confirm this yet, though.

If true, I find it quite amusing that after all the cries of too much MASH and too much Hogan’s Heroes, they take off Hogan’s Heroes, and then some MASH, but replace the MASH with Hogan’s Heroes.

On the surface this is a real headscratcher. If the viewer outcry was so great the natural move would have been to bring it back at 11pm and remove Carol Burnett. Why interfere with MASH? The series has held the 6-7pm slot for almost two years, are the numbers at that hour declining? Maybe the network was going to pull the plug on the first hour of MASH anyhow so this move placates the Hogan fans temporarily until a more permanent solution is arrived at.

One thing it proves is just how popular Hogan's Heroes is. The series has been a perennial since it went off the air, I think TAGS ranks number 1 for 1960 TV series in reruns but Hogan is 2nd. It gives me no joy to write that, I don't have any idea why so many people like this show to me every episode is the same.

I had this thought too. That time slot has a bad history for them.

I HATE Hogan's Heroes - but Money Talks. it wouldn't be on if it was not making money.

I am amazed no channel has picked "Early Edition". It was on the "Start" channel for years. With "Laterns" coming out = easy pick.

The appeal of it surprises me. It's based on WW 2, and there's hardly anyone left from that generation.

Just a thought when Me TV adds a New Program. Perhaps they should do a Launch Marathon. I believe NICK at NITE did this in its glory days. Perhaps have the Marathon Launch Monday thru Friday from 6:00pm EST thru 5:00AM EST and than through the Week the programming Department will see what is the BEST time slot for that show. Than over the entire Weekend Me TV can say catch shows name at O Clock WeekNights on Me TV and advertise the NEW line up. Still to this day I remember NICK at NITE line up of…
