Tried posting on Reddit twice, and it immediately got deleted because of the stupid mods.
I really REALLY hope someone can answer these questions for me. And I know I can easily just look up the 1993 WDW Happy Easter parade on YouTube to see, but when they say “the cast appeared IN the parade,” did they just mean the Behind the scenes footage of Meets the Mouse, which shows the taping of the afternoon Surprise parade with everybody on the floats? I kind of love that they did a little featurette thing. Also, I was reading the newspaper archives trying to find any articles about the taping. I found one (behind a paywall 🤦*♂️) about how long it took to do the Tea Party scene and how the actress in the White Rabbit suit passed out from heat exhaustion because the AC had to be turned off. But I read somewhere that they built a set on a soundstage in LA for the Tea Party. When the article says they were in Orlando. There was also something I came across, from early January 1993 before the cast returned from their Christmas hiatus. Jodie apparently was at Disney MGM studios as the grand marshal in the debut of the Aladdin’s Royal Caravan parade. So she was there in January and then about 2 months later had to go all the way back to do the 2 episodes?! And I still can’t believe Steve, who was 16/17, somehow got the money to fly across the country, buy park passes, and get a room at the GRAND FLORIDIAN!!!! Even I can’t afford a room there. I’m lucky I could even afford to stay on property at one of the budget hotels (Pop Century) and get the meal plan during my previous trip. |
