Default Okay, this is weird!

Okay, the whole thing with Wally and Beaver being soo much older and taller and stuff (all grown up practically) at the end of the 6th season, and now we're back at season 1, is anybody else a little weirded by this? I mean, in respect, it felt a little like a different show than leave it to beaver, now, i have not seen very many episodes of season 1, and if i did, it was just little tid bits, like i recall watching wally and beaver pretending to take a bath and then throwing dirt in the tub to leave a ring, but that's all i remember from that episode. so because of that, i think it feels not like beaver. I really do like beaver before his voice either starts to change or has changed, cuz he's so cute, but i was SOOO used to beaver being older, that now i just feel like i jumped through a huge time warp (which in essence i guess i kind of did) and Ward and June are still there, but they have different kids or something. Cuz even Wally looks different, i can see the "hot" wally in there somewhere, but they just feel not like Wally and Beav. I'm not saying that i don't like the change, becuase last nights Spelled episode was just THE cutest ep i have ever seen!!! But it's just... weird! I look forward to getting used to them being little again!!

I know what you mean. It IS jarring at first because you really do get used to the older Wally (yummy) and older Beav, but after a few eps you'll be used to the younger ones cause they are just so cute. It's kind of like watching them grow up. And it's also kind of fun to see Ward and June a bit more animated in the early seasons. They really have a sensuality towards each other that they seem to lose in the later seasons. It's interesting to see the show kind of grow into itself and find its rhythm. So relax and enjoy. Just a great show all around.

I loved the chemistry between Ward and June in the first few seasons. It is kind of weird seeing Beaver, and especially Wally when they were young. Wally looks very different to me.

When I started watching the show, it was during the first season, so this to me is more the way i'm used to it. To me towards the end it doesn't feel like the same show because beaver stays so small and then bam all of a sudden he's grown up! I absolutely LOVE the first few seasons. I find them to be cuter and a little funnier. (there are a few of the later eps that are hillarious though)
Just my two cents.

Don't worry Sarah. You'll get used to it.

i started watching it normally at the very end of the 2nd season, right before they moved, and i cought a few episodes here adn there, but it wasn't until the end of season 2 that i got into it. And i know beaver was still young then, but not AS young....

And whoever said they like the chemistry between ward and june in this season, i do too. They have their arguments like normal couples, and it seems that june isn't afraid to stick her two sense into it at all!!
