Have you ever heard a "FAKE LIVE" song?
Not only is this song a "Fake Live" song, but it also is a very popular song. This song also reached #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1974 and also topped the RPM national singles chart in Canada. It is ranked number 371 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. The song: "Bennie and the Jets" It was recorded in France at Château d'Hérouville's Strawberry Studios, but it includes live sound effects mixed in from various concerts. Notably, producer Gus Dudgeon added audience sounds from a 1972 performance concert by Elton John at the Royal Festival Hall in London, as well as sounds from a Jimi Hendrix performance concert at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970. He also included a series of whistles from a live concert in Vancouver, and added hand claps and various shouts. This blending of live elements gives the track a unique, energetic feel, making it sound like a live recording.
