Sitting On Top Of The World By LeAnn Rimes
I listened to my copy of LeAnn Rimes's 1998 album Sitting On Top Of The World and I remember that this album was disliked by some music magazines because it was mostly a cover songs album and the album had poor sales. The title track is a cover of an Amanda Marshall song of the same name and another odd thing LeAnn Rimes did was cover Prince's 1984 hit Purple Rain and why she covered that song was weird. Was Sitting On Top Of The World LeAnn Rimes worst selling album in her career?

Whoever told LeAnn Rimes to cover Prince's Purple Rain for Sitting On Top Of The World? I thought it was a weird cover choice when I heard it. But I think that with Sitting On Top Of The World LeAnn wanted to sing pop in addition to country and that album expanded her horizons. But my mom liked her song Looking Through Your Eyes from Quest For Camelot which is on this album too

To me, that album has some of her best material on it.
