Why couldn’t Shout! factory get the original music for season 3 on the box set?

They seemingly had zero trouble getting the music cleared for season 4, 5, and 6. But season 3 were the exact same prints as the Sony dvd released in 2009. With the generic stock music replacing songs like Shop Around, the Flintstones theme, The Trolley song, the Saber dance/One Last Kiss, the Stripper music in the Hockey episode … amongst several others, and it sounded awful (like the volume was way too loud) and didn’t really fit very well. Also, wouldn’t a couple of those songs be pretty cheap to use? Like the theme from Space Odyssey, Saber dance, and the Stripper? It really bothers me how they couldn’t somehow get the correct music just for that one season. Jokes on them though … I somehow came across the versions ripped from streaming, and they have all the original music, so I added them to my digital MP4 collection. My cousin also has a private Plex server and uploaded the proper versions as well. I think he found them in the same place I did.

I can’t understand the logic behind why the complete series isn’t fully “complete.” The wedding episode is a mess as well. They really couldn’t use the original hourlong print but instead, the edited 2 parter that reuses the opening scene of Fran and Max in the kitchen which makes no sense. I had to re-edit it, and I added the missing Lucy Ricardo scene as well. That I can see why it only aired once.
